New York, NY; October 31, 2023: JFK Millennium Partners and Vantage Airport Group have
launched the competitive solicitation process for the commercial development of food & beverage, duty-free, and specialty retail concession outlets at JFK’s new Terminal 6, currently under construction at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The program aims to attract collaborative concession partners to help deliver an iconic, New York City-inspired shopping and dining experience in the new, 1.2 million square foot international terminal when its first gates open in 2026.

Partners interested in obtaining copies of the RFP documents are required to complete a
confidentiality agreement by emailing the team at T6ConcessionCSP@vantageairportgroup.com.

“We are delighted to kick off the competitive solicitation process for what will be a world-class shopping and dining experience at the new JFK Terminal 6,” said Helena Williams, Chief Executive Officer, JFK Millennium Partners. “The feedback and conversations from our community outreach activities in support of the project have been very positive. We look forward to bringing to life an innovative, dynamic, and service-focused concessions program that celebrates the very best of New York City, alongside offerings from beloved local small businesses.”

“We are excited to partner with concessionaires at JFK Terminal 6, where guests can look forward to more than 60,000 square feet of premium food & beverage, duty-free and specialty retail when the first phase of the terminal opens in 2026,” said Sammy Patel, Vice President, Commercial, Vantage Airport Group. “Thanks to our experienced commercial team members for facilitating this exciting process for Vantage’s next award-winning airport terminal development.”

About the new Terminal 6
JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) is building a world-class, 1.2 million square foot Terminal 6 which will occupy the site of the former Terminal 6 and Terminal 7 when completed. This $4.9 bn redevelopment will transform the guest experience at Terminal 6 while offering numerous opportunities for minority, women-owned (MWBE), service-disabled, veteran-owned (SDVOB) and local business enterprises (LBE) to participate. With bright and airy check-in and arrivals areas, NYC-inspired shopping, dining and amenities, public art, luxury lounges and generous seating areas – the new Terminal 6 will feel more like a luxury boutique New York hotel. It strives to become one of the superlative airport terminals in the world, with the first gates expected to open in early 2026 and terminal completion expected in 2028.

Duty-Free CSP Process
This process will be conducted in two stages: Stage one is the full submission stage, which is open to all parties who submit a proposal for both phases of the duty-free program at JFK Terminal 6. Stage two is the “best and final” stage, which is open to only a select group of preferred respondents. In stage one, JMP is seeking full submissions from experienced duty-free operators with a strong and exemplary history of creativity, innovation, visually dynamic concepts, and a reputation for best-in-class operations and service delivered through exciting concepts. During stage one, respondents will have the opportunity to express their qualifications and submit concepts, designs and financial proposals for the duty-free program planned.

At the end of stage one, JMP intends to select two or more preferred respondents who will each be asked to participate in stage two by participating in collaborative dialogue meetings with the JMP team. Preferred respondents are asked to present and discuss the concepts, designs, and financial proposal with the JMP team. The collaborative dialogue meetings are meant to be a collaborative discussion resulting in JMP and the preferred respondents in-depth understanding of each other’s perspectives, vision, and the realm of possibilities.
